On Tuesday, 22 December 2015, in the afternoon at 12:14, in Vilnius, on Galvės street, at the junction with Kirtimų street, a Subaru Impreza registered in Ireland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Subaru (12 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.36‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
