On Friday, 1 January 2016, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kauno district municipality, on S. Lozoraičio street near No. 11, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic, a Renault Espace, a Volkswagen Passat, a Fiat Seicento and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Honda, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.97‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
