On Monday, 4 January 2016, in the afternoon at 14:03, in Biržų district municipality, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with J. Janonio street, an Audi Allroad hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Audi (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
