On Friday, 18 December 2015, at night at 23:45, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta national road (kilometre 31), a BMW 325 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
