On Wednesday, 13 January 2016, in the evening at 20:05, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr., at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, an Audi A4 Avant hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.95‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
