On Tuesday, 19 January 2016, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 321, a collision with a reversing vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and an Opel Kadett. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
