On Friday, 22 January 2016, in the evening at 17:30, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Utenos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Neoplan N 316 and a Suzuki Baleno. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Neoplan (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
