Hit-and-run, unlicensed Audi A6 driver in crash with Opel in Galgių village
On Friday, 22 January 2016, in the evening at 21:37, in Vilniaus district municipality, Galgių village, on Mokyklos street, at the junction with M. Koperniko street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and an Opel Signum. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
