On Saturday, 23 January 2016, at night at 1:10, in Telšių district municipality, Upynos village, on Kuršėnų street, at the junction with Naujoji street, an Opel Omega rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
