On Sunday, 24 January 2016, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Anykščių district municipality, Pagojės farmstead, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 5.15), a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. The collision involved the Seat and a BMW X5 3.0D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Seat (12 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
