On Tuesday, 26 January 2016, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šakių district municipality, Giedručių village, on Valių street near No. 15, an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
