On Thursday, 28 January 2016, at night at 23:50, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 41), a DAF registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
