On Monday, 1 February 2016, in the evening at 21:55, in Prienų district municipality, on Kovo 8-osios street near No. 1, an Opel Signum ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.67‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
