On Wednesday, 3 February 2016, in the evening at 19:23, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr., at the junction with Buivydiškių street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Insignia Limousine NB and a Mercedes-Benz O 405. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
