On Saturday, 6 February 2016, in the evening at 18:16, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 16.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Ford (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
