On Monday, 8 February 2016, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Kauno district municipality, Karmėlavos town, on Oro Uosto street near No. 4, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a BMW X3 3.0D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.80‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
