On Thursday, 11 February 2016, in the evening at 21:45, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Šilinė national road (kilometre 0.90), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
