On Monday, 15 February 2016, in the morning at 7:22, in Kaunas, on Pakraščio street, a Mazda 6 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 72-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mazda (8 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
