On Wednesday, 17 February 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Vilnius, on Rygos street near No. 8, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 626 and a Mitsubishi Carisma. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mazda (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
