On Wednesday, 24 February 2016, in the afternoon at 12:11, in Telšių district municipality, on Laisvės street near No. 1, at the junction with Kęstučio street, a Skoda Superb hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 67-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Skoda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
