On Tuesday, 8 March 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Varnių street near No. 7, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6, a Mitsubishi Carisma, a Mitsubishi Lancer and an Audi Q5. One person was injured — the 39-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi A6 (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
