On Thursday, 10 March 2016, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl., at the junction with Brastos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and a Peugeot 307. One person was injured — a 51-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Toyota (29 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
