On Thursday, 17 March 2016, in the evening at 17:30, in Kaunas, on A. Kačanausko street near No. 26, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 316 and an Opel Antara. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
