On Sunday, 20 March 2016, at night at 0:30, in Šiauliai, on Aido street near No. 43, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Mazda 626. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volkswagen. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
