On Wednesday, 23 March 2016, in the morning at 7:30, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 99.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Land Rover Freelander, a Toyota Avensis and a Ford Galaxy. Two people were injured — the 39-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and the 76-year-old driver of the Land Rover (hospitalized). All drivers were sober.
