On Thursday, 24 March 2016, at night at 1:38, in Vilnius, on Kęstučio street, at the junction with Traidenio street, a Mazda 6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.27‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
