On Saturday, 9 April 2016, in the evening at 17:40, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 35.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy and a Chrysler Pacifica. One person was injured — the 45-year-old driver of the Chrysler (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.88‰ blood alcohol).
