On Thursday, 14 April 2016, in the evening at 18:06, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Baltijos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a BMW 323 registered in Great Britain. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (37 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
