On Tuesday, 19 April 2016, in the afternoon at 13:48, in Kėdainių district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street near No. 49, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Nissan Primera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
