On Thursday, 21 April 2016, at night at around 3:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on geležinkelio street near No. 14, an Opel Astra rolled over. One person died — a 51-year-old passenger of the Opel (severely injured). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
