On Thursday, 21 April 2016, in the evening at 17:46, in Šiaulių district municipality, Kairių town, on Salduvės street near No. 1, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and a Volvo V50. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.02‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
