On Friday, 22 April 2016, in the evening at 21:15, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Aristava–Kėdainiai–Cinkiškiai national road (kilometre 19), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and an Opel Omega-B-Caravan. Three people were injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Opel Vectra (hospitalized), a 35-year-old passenger of the Opel Omega-B-Caravan (treated as an outpatient) and the 39-year-old driver of the Opel Omega-B-Caravan (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel Vectra (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
