On Wednesday, 20 April 2016, in the morning at 10:01, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on Gedimino street near No. 141, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-Caravan and a Peugeot. One person was injured — a 38-year-old cyclist (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Opel (56 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
