On Wednesday, 4 May 2016, in the evening at 21:20, in Kaunas, on K. Donelaičio street, at the junction with Žemaičių pl., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6 and a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 registered in Great Britain. One person was injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mazda (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
