On Saturday, 7 May 2016, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Šilalės district municipality, Pagrybio village, on the Upyna–Pagrybis–Kaltinėnai regional road (kilometre 11.40), a Ford Mondeo ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 23-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized) and a 21-year-old passenger of the Ford (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Ford, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. A 21-year-old passenger of the Ford was drunk (2.54‰). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
