On Tuesday, 24 May 2016, in the evening at 19:46, in Vilnius, on Burbiškių street near No. 44, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a moped and a Volvo S60. Two people were injured — the 27-year-old driver of a moped (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 18-year-old passenger of a moped (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.53‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
