On Tuesday, 24 May 2016, in the evening at 18:30, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 27.96), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Renault, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
