On Thursday, 26 May 2016, in the evening at 17:06, in Vilnius, on Linkmenų street near No. 13, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
