On Sunday, 29 May 2016, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Raudondvaris–Giedraičiai–Molėtai national road (kilometre 35.50), an Audi A6 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.26‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
