On Saturday, 4 June 2016, in the evening at 22:50, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with Sukilėlių pr., a Mazda 3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Mazda (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol). A 21-year-old passenger of the Mazda was drunk (0.70‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
