On Saturday, 11 June 2016, in the evening at 17:13, in Tauragės district municipality, Sniegoniškės I village, on the Jurbarkas–Skaudvilė national road (kilometre 34.80), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and a Nissan Primera. Two people died — the 45-year-old driver of the BMW and the 52-year-old driver of the Nissan. Both drivers were sober.
