On Saturday, 2 July 2016, at night at around 23:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Mazūriškių village, on Lenkviečių street, at the junction with Danės street, a Fiat Punto S hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Fiat (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
