On Wednesday, 13 July 2016, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Kauno district municipality, Karkazų village, on Karkazų street, at the junction with Vingio street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a BMW 3ER Reihe. Two people were injured — the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 31-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
