On Sunday, 17 July 2016, at night at 0:22, in Telšių district municipality, Viešvėnų I village, on Judros street near No. 9, at the junction with Getautės street, a BMW 525 D hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 27-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. A 27-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.87‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
