On Sunday, 17 July 2016, in the evening at around 20:00, in Panevėžys, on Senvagė street, a bicycle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 2-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 23-year-old cyclist, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
