On Wednesday, 20 July 2016, in the morning at around 6:00, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Druskininkai–Leipalingis–Seirijai national road (kilometre 3.40), a BMW 330 registered in France rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
