On Monday, 25 July 2016, in the afternoon at 12:11, in Vilnius, on Taikos street near No. 162A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane and a Mercedes-Benz 209. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
