On Wednesday, 27 July 2016, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Panevėžys, on Klaipėdos street, at the junction with S. Daukanto street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Seat Cordoba Vario and a Volvo S40. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
