On Thursday, 28 July 2016, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėda, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 15, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6 and a Toyota Avensis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Mazda (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.24‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
