On Sunday, 7 August 2016, in the evening at 17:18, in Vilnius, on Pavilnionių street, a Volkswagen Polo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.04‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
